Hârșova COOLtural

The Hârșova COOLturală project was implemented over a period of six months, with the main objective of increasing the degree of acceptance and social inclusion in the community of Hârșova and the surrounding areas. The team aimed to promote intercultural dialogue and combat discrimination, addressing in particular children and young people, including those from the Roma community and other minorities.

An essential component consisted of the development and arrangement of a Youth Center that became a friendly and stimulating space for socializing and learning.

During the project, over 300 children and young people benefited from non-formal educational activities and intercultural experiences. The efforts culminated in the organization of the Hârșova COOLturală Festival, a three-day event dedicated to interculturality, which actively involved young people and the local community

  1. Promoting social inclusion and intercultural dialogue.
  2. Organizing interactive workshops for 200 children and young people on topics of cultural diversity and intercultural communication.
  3. Increasing the beneficiaries’ positive attitude towards other cultures, through participation in non-formal activities.
  4. Developing a Youth Center by arranging, equipping the space and organizing attractive events.
  1. The project management ensured the efficient planning, organization, monitoring and evaluation of all actions, as well as the management of financial resources.
  2. The youth center space was arranged and equipped with furniture, a multimedia room and a community kitchen, providing a welcoming environment.
  3. Intercultural and non-formal dialogue workshops were organized for 4 months, addressing topics such as stereotypes and conflict resolution.
  4. The team organized gastronomic workshops in the community kitchen, where participants discovered and prepared traditional recipes from different cultures.
  5. Finally, the Hârșova COOLturală Festival was organized, a 3-day event that included recreational activities, performances and non-formal workshops.
