Through the Start NGO program, launched by Kaufland Romania and implemented by the Act for Tomorrow Association, the Hârșova 3D Association (H3D) Association is organizing a greening activity in the city of Hârșova on September 21, 2024, an occasion to celebrate World Cleanup Day (September 23) in advance.

The main goal of the cleanup is to clean up the right bank of the Danube and several points of interest in the city with the help of volunteers and students from the city. Our partners in this endeavor are: Hârșova City Hall, Secondary School No. 1 and Ioan Cotovu Theoretical High School in Hârșova, Carsium Cultural Center, and Secondary School in Ghindărești.

World Cleanup Day, celebrated annually, reminds us of our collective responsibility towards the planet. Keeping the environment clean is not just a matter of aesthetics, but a necessity for maintaining our health and that of ecosystems. A clean environment reduces pollution, protects biodiversity, and improves the quality of life for everyone. Through simple actions, such as the clean-up activity on September 21, each of us can contribute to a greener and cleaner future.

The second goal of the H3D Association’s action is to contribute to the education of children and young people in Dobrogea, especially in Hârșova and the surrounding area, by promoting and forming environmentally responsible habits. We strongly believe that the active involvement of all members of society in environmental protection actions is essential to creating a significant impact. Every gesture counts, and together we can make a real difference in maintaining a clean and healthy environment for ourselves and future generations:

Start NGO is a program launched by Kaufland Romania and implemented by the Act for Tomorrow Association. The areas targeted are: education, social, environment, health, and culture. The total value of the program is €500,000. The Start NGO program is the most simplified community funding tool for young NGOs, public pre-university educational institutions, and informal/initiative groups.
